Eagles Announce Signing of Veteran Wide Receiver

Well, as many of you are aware, we weren't happy with our return game last week on both kickoffs and punt returns. We evaluated the talent that was there in the free agent pool, and agreed that Peter Warrick would be the best fit for this team.
We're bringing Peter in here with three weeks left of pre season primarily to return the kicks, but he will also be given a chance to earn a spot at the wide receiver corpse. This gives us six wide receivers, and more then likely one of these guys will be cut at the end of preseason to make room for another veteran signing.
To make room for Peter, we were forced to cut ties with defensive end Juqua Thomas. Juqua had done a great job while he was tendured here in Philly, but we needed that roster spot and Juqua understood that.
You should be able to see Peter in action this upcoming week as we take on the Baltimore Ravens.
