Has there ever been a politician that any of us ever liked?
I voted for and support both Bushs.

Ok. Do you like him? Hell, I voted for Bush, but it wasn't really FOR Bush. More like AGAINST Kerry.

Yes, Bush has done everything I expected he would if he was elected, so yeah I like the guy.
Hell he had the balls to attack the Tali-Ban and Iraq and piss Billster off.
If he could run another term, I'd vote for him again.

Maybe you should have looked for another candidate if you didn't care for either of them. It's not like we actually HAVE a two party system... they just like to make it seem that way.

Personally I think its pointless voting for any party other than the two main parties...since they have no shot at winning, your vote is basically worthless.

The reason your vote is worthless is exactly because of that thinking. If people actually started voting for the candidate they believe in instead of just picking the lesser of two evils, we might actually get some decent candidtates in office. That would take some actual effort by the voters to learn more about the candidates and how our government works. It's much easier to vote for they guy who has the nicer tie on the tv, or the guy the radio show host tells you to vote for.
Voting for anyone other than the 2 leading candidates is a wasted vote and your are basically just ensuring your vote doesn't count.
Thats what Perott did to Bush. Perott was there to take votes that Bush would have otherwise gotten and helped Clinton to get into office. As anyone who voted for Perott if they could go back and vote again who they would vote for and they would have voted for Bush and Bush would have won.

The actual government of the United States is set up to be a two party. Both parties would like to keep it that way. No, it would be throwing away a vote.
Special note, I would have thrown my vote away for the Perott. Had the best chance in a VERY long time. And it still wasn't a good one.

Can't agree with Chaos and the electing of Bush for a third term if it was possible.
He's done absolutely nothing for the economy in my eyes. Or maybe its my perception from what I see around me.
Granted Bush did inherit a bear market from Clinton who left with the market on a decline for the two final years of his term, but Bush has done little to restore it in my eyes.

With NAFTA in place I'm not sure there was a lot he could do.

The thing people dont realize is that it takes years for the economic effects of what a president has done to take effect. So you dont see the effects usually until the guy is out of office. Then the next guy gets the credit.

You know... I agree with that. God knows I've been told that over and over, and looking... Yeah...
Bush has had two terms. He doesn't have that excuse.

Actually the economy is on an upswing... compared to what it was from 2000-2003
So it's gone up during Bush's second term ( when he might have been 'out of office') Although it was really bad during his first term (when you were still seeing the effects of his predecessor)

Yeah well our votes dont count. They take the electoral college votes instead of the peoples vote.
Who the heck is the electoral anyway. I do vote and will always because its my right and others fought for that so it shouldnt be taken for granted. Does Bush Suck??? Yeah id say so. Does Kerry? Probably but we dont know. Does that make me one or the other no......I liked Reagan and I liked Clinton. Ive so far hated both bush's lol must be something in their genes

2000-2003 were bad years as of result of the bear market Bush inherited from Clinton and obviously the effects of 9/11
But concerning the upward swing... can't some of that be attributed to a ridiculous real estate market that is now coming to a halt?
Personally I don't think he invested that much time into the economy with all the money and time spent on the war. I could be wrong since I haven't gone over all the bills, etc he's signed since being in office but atleast thats what the general consesus seems to be among people (not democrats, not counting them)
LIke my father is yet to make what he made during the Clinton Era (I'm not saying that Clinton gave us a good economy, we just benefitted from one that was put in place when he took office. By his Era I mean the years where he was in office).
