Steroids, HGH, And Illicit Performance Enhancers
(would've been NFL Talk but it encompasses ALL sports)
Should adult players from any sport, Collegiate and beyond, who use said items be penalized?

Yes for sure. It's cheating, and it destroys the idea of being a professional athlete. Professional athletes are the best trained people on earth. When you take steroids, it just proves that you are weak and you need more help.
Plus, people like me look up to athletes as role models. What kind of example are they telling us, that people need chemicals to be the greatest?

I think they should be allowed.. but the use should be regulated.
But it will never happen. (them being legal or allowed)

My thoughts exactly. The abuse of steroids is the worst part of it for the person and the reason they are illegal(mostly), if they can regulate that I think them being allowed would be fine.

I really dont think that they should be allowed at all, even if they are regulated I just think there could still be complications down the road.

Its really frustrating to me when guys use the HGH to recover from terrible injuries, only to get suspended.
I'm sure the team they're contracted out to would say "Oh No Mr. Brady, we care enough about your health to have Matt Castle as our starter..." (this is purely an example).
I just don't see that happening. So, when it comes to light said player was using the hgh, suddenly the team issues a press conference stating "we would never, under any circumstances, condone the use of hgh.
Common sense dictates otherwise.

Performance Enhancing Drugs are illegal, so yes any sportsman (or woman) found using them should be banned for life. I find it rediculous that Dwyane Chambers might be running for GB in Beijing, even though he has admitted to using Performance Enhancers...

If a athlete wants to get stronger, they should do it the natural way. I've seen people that have taken them before, and I have no respect for them.
What kind of athlete thinks if they want to get stronger, they need drugs to help?

Most use creatine, CLA, Whey Protein, and barely legal EAS products. The only difference being HGH, and certain types of steroids are illegal.

The biggest issue here (IMO) is that these idiots don't realise the damage their doing to their bodys. If we were to say, leagalise HGH and just record it, then soon all atheletes are going to have to take them, because otherwise they will be uncompetative. Then, we would lose atheletes to the side affects. What we need to rember here is that we are dealing with DRUGS as in illegal (I think their a class c over | |
