Ok Goddard suffered broken ribs, the docs are telling me its a pretty serious fracture and he is expect to be out for a while. Glenn came out a little luckier... his ribs must be less broken then Goddard because the Docs are telling me Glenn can be back for the season opener.
On to the game....
We played terrible... horrible.... The score doesnt really show just how bad we played. We turned the ball over too much... 3 interceptions! The line didnt block for crap.... 5 sacks! We only converted 3 third downs! The defense didnt make a single play, one sack and one pass deflection... thats it from the defense! Thier back ran up and down the feild for over 100 yards!...
Pre-season or not there is no excuse to suck as bad as we did in this game.

I dont think there was really much gained in this game. We lost an Offensive Tackle for a while, Glenn should be back for the season opener but he will miss a couple weeks of practice.
I came out of this game even more worried that if something happens to Romo we could be in a lot of trouble this season.
I guess if you are asking me to note a positive from the game it would have to be that McCune continues to show that he was a great free agent pick up and a solid player to have at the back up Mike position. I think he could well be starting for many teams in this league.

How will the defensive performance impact any of the players who were out there the majority of the game and their standing on playing time/depth chart?
If you are asking who is starting and who is not... that will be obvious in the season opener.

*coughs* Well Romo only played in the first half of the first Pre-season game and he looked like Romo. I am not worried about Romo, I am worried about the guys I have behind him.

Not so much as to who is starting, but how the backups have either impressed or disappointed and how their play in in games 3 and 4 will determine their spot on the depth chart.
Well I have to choose one of them as the #2 and the other will be the #3... obviously I will make this choice based off of their performance in the pre-season. Right now I can only say that neither one of them has made me feel comfortable I have a capable guy to put at #2.

It was a pre-season game... I dont think there was much I could have done.. the players just did not perform, they did not beat the other guy. I think we had a good game plan and good play calling, then its up to the players to perform from there.
