Hello everyone, and thanks for coming. I'd like to begin this press conference by thanking our dedicated commissioner for everything he has done to make this league possible. Without him, you all wouldn't get the privilege of listening to me babble about my team.
On offense, we've mostly kept the same core group at the skills postions. The only new face is rookie Brandon Williams, who we expect to be a playmaker for us somewhere down the line. The real offensive changes took place on the line. We knew we needed some help when we lost Roaf and Welbourn, so I brought in Spencer and Simmons to play OT for me. I think both will be very successful in a Chiefs uniform for years to come.
On the defensive line, I knew we would need some help for our solid young ends. Brentson Buckner was a key addition, who I feel will be able to fill some holes and allow the linebackers to do what I pay them so much to do. Concerning the LB's, I have moved Kawika Mitchell outside and Kendrell Bell inside. Mitchell is quicker and more suited to play outside, while Bell is one of the strongest LB's in the game, which should allow him to fight off those interior linemen. The secondary is a solid veteran group that I feel will play very well and solidifies this defensive unit.
Our punting game is very average, but when it comes to kicking I have a lot of confidence in Tynes to get the job done. And on returns... well, everyone's going to be watching out for the X-factor.
I have high hopes going into this season. Hopefully pre-season will answer some questions for the team and get us ready for another solid season.
I now stand open for questions.

Hello Mr.Itallianstallion, how do you see your teams WR group in general, do you think they are good enough to have a reliable receiving game for your team?
What are your goals for this season?
And when I see your entire team age might be a problem for the future, why wasnt getting younger on some spots an option for your team?

I have nothing but good memories of playing for the Bills. It's something I cherish. When I was playing for the Pats, I'd wear a Bills T-shirt under my uniform. Someone came up to me one day and said, 'Fred, no matter what you wear on the outside, you,ll always be a Buffalo Bill on the inside.'
Do you feel with some high profile moves, particularly in Denver, but also in San Diego drawing the attention away from your team for much of the offseason, you have a chance to surprise some people this year with your level of play?

I think my WR's will be just fine. Kennison is a proven vet and has been working with Trent for a long time. Then we throw in Parker, a young guy who has all the physical gifts to make it and should develop nicely throughout the season. Then Trent has 2 more solid targets in LJ and Gonzo. I really don't think passing is going to be a problem.
Right now I'm not going to set goals for the season, I'm not going to look ahead at all. I'm just going to focus on what I have to do from week to week, and that starts with the Bengals.
Sorry to answer your question with a question, but where do you think age is a problem? I think my team has a nice mix of veterans and young guys so that we will be solid for years to come.

That's a good question... the AFC West has never been easy. After the past few seasons I've gotten used to playing the best competition year in and year out. I think this team can compete with the other teams and we will all be in the running when it comes down to it. The thing about these divisional games are that they're going to be so close and so important that one little slip could cost a team the entire season.

I'm not one that likes to talk up my team a lot. I'm not going to sit here and brag about how good my team is or say that I expect to be in the Super Bowl. Like I said, game by game. But if there were any holes I felt needed to be addressed, I would have taken care of them in the offseason.

There will be several guys under observation. Croyle will get a lot of time, which will help decide his future with this organization. Parker, Hall, and Williams are all guys at WR that will have to compete for spots in this preseason. Both of the offensive tackle spots could be up for grabs at the moment. Should be an interesting pre-season.

Well... I think any chance I had of slipping under the radar went out the window when you came in here telling everyone how I was going to slip under the radar . The divisional race should be a good one, both of the teams you mentioned have really bolstered their lineups. I guess we'll have to see what this team can do.

Though your offensive line continues to have one of the strongest cores in the league, how concerned are you about the age and durability of guys like Wiegmann, Waters and Shields?

Trent Green is getting high up there in the age department do you believe your future QB is currently on your roster right now?
As of right now, I am not sure. Croyle will have a big chance to prove himself this pre-season, so we'll see how he does. As some of you have noticed, some of my players are getting up there in age. In the coming seasons, if we decide we have time to develop Croyle, we will. But if we think our window is too small and we need to push for success, we might go another way.

Well, last year (SIM-wise, aka 2005) Trent threw 507 times, and it was LJ's first year as a full-time starter and he carried it 300 times. So really, I don't see why everyone thinks this offense is unbalanced or why they think LJ is going to burn out. We're expecting big numbers from him.

Right now we expect them to be leaders of the O-line. Shields is the only one whose age I'm worried about, but at this point in time we want to just focus on this season and not get too worried about what he will do next year.
Thanks to everyone for all your questions.
