General:
That was a interesting game, and told us alot about our team. No new injuries to report, but we do want to throw out there that we hope Peterson is all right.
Offense:
We didn't accomplish all we wanted to do during the game... We are still unsure who our second running back will be, but we are strongly leading toward Humes at the moment. Even taking out his long 19 yard run, he's still averaging about 4.5 yards a carry during that game. We'll be having him starting in the final preseason game to verify.
We were very happy with the passing game with the starters in... They took what the defense gave them. Which wasn't a hole lot with less than 200 yard passing... But it did show solid decision making, and that's what we are looking for from our QB's. We did have too many drops from our receivers however. We were really just trying to keep the defense honest to further test who was going to be backup to LT... But when the defense doesn't have to worry about our offense gaining yards on passing because the receivers were having a off day this game was more or less a wash on that goal.
Defense:
We gave up a couple big plays... Having the starter, and backup, FS hurt at the same time and bringing in a free agent in Cooper who's only had 2 practices doesn't help much.
Clements came up with some pretty big plays... Good knock downs and played the ball well. Six tackles for a loss, and four sacks... I'm pretty happy with the pressure we got... Just need to square up the secondary a bit.
Special Teams:
We punted the ball... We did it pretty well... It was nice to get a good judge of what we got, and tested both kicking/punting and returning. With that said, our specialist, Sproles, will be handling both kick returning and punt returning duties. The mental mistake of allowing a 80 yard punt just can't be allowed. Even in preseason.
Questions?

Extremists are like slinkys... Ultimately useless in the grand scheme of things... But still brings a smile to the face when you push them down a flight of stairs.
You mention the dropped passes by your receivers. Does this make you feel you might need to go out and find someone to help hold things down until Roy comes back from his injury?

No... I think LT is another receiver that other teams have to be aware of, and right now he's not much of a factor in preseason games.
LT is whatever we need him to be it seems... We won't permanently line him up as a Wide Out... But even when starting in the backfield he's a receiving option. This opens up both the running and passing plays which will loosen up receivers down field for those gimme passes.
Without LT, players tend to stick to our receivers much more than usual, and get hit right after touching the ball. Thus the drops... It's all about getting comfortable. And lord knows I'm more comfortable with LT on the field.

Even in Pre-season you are still concidered a power house team...
Given your OVR #2 ranking is this a testimate to how poor your roster really is???
I really don't think preseason games are a testament to anything really. W's and L's just don't mean anything long term. It gets the players worked up... But it doesn't last.

Your # 2 Offense was held to 10 points and your #7 ranked D was just anihilated what changes are you going to make so this might not happen again???
We're thinking about playing LT during the season.

Due to the frequency of injuries increasing this pre-season do you expect to sit even more starters in this next pre-season game?
No... The only thing that will change is what we want to look at. What we are trying to find out about various players. Won't know anything if they don't play.
