Great first win of the preseason for us and I am proud of the way we cameback in the 4th quarter to win the game.
Omar and Matt were great again today, but the protection for Matt was very disappointing. Omar runs our system well, because he can make the quick read and get the ball out of his hand.
Credit to Chicago's defense for stopping our running game today. The line needs to step it up as the season gets closer, because we cant afford to give up 6 sacks in ANY game.
Anquan had a great game and I think it is safe to say we are going to shut he and Larry down for the last game. Josh Cribbs came in here a few weeks ago and is really making a name for himself. He doesnt have the homerun speed, but he seems to make the big play when we need it. I think he has done enough to earn playing time.
I really like what we are doing on defense, but you cant take too much away from preseason games against 2nd stringers. I feel that we have a good enough pass rush to pressure the QB so that our young secondary isnt going to have all the pressure on their shoulders.
are there any position battles we should be watching out for in the last preseason game? has Ship or Arrington shown anything to earn additional carries going into the regular season?

The position battles are pretty much set, except for on defense. The nickle spot is open as well as the free safety position. Other than that we have a pretty good idea of where everyone falls on our roster and depth chart.
Arrington will see additional carries this season and like I said, we hope to develop some packages specifically for him and hopefully incorporate he and Edge into one of the packages together.
Any concern that Matt is holding the ball too long and that is leading to the sacks or do you put it all on your O-line?

Well, we are expecting Matt to hold on to the ball a little to long, especially in preseason. However, the line did a great job with Omar in there. Holding on to the ball or not, we can not afford to give up that many sacks and expect to win games.
So to answer your question I put it about 60/40 with the line being 60.
