There is a trader amongst us.
Going into the pre-season, right after the draft, the Denver Broncos new General Manager, Michael Lael, was on a trading spree, with a current tallie of 15 trades. 13 have been processed, one has been agreed on, and one is still in the works. Quite a few blocker busters have come out of these trades.
The first major one, was the very first one. The Saints and Broncos were in talks for a while about the possibility of trading one of the better up and coming cornerbacks for the best rookie Wide Reciever in the league. The Broncos sent Darrent Williams to the Saints, and in return, the Broncos recieved 7th round draft pick, Marques Colston. In that trade also sent injury proned Ben Hamilton to the Saints for Defensive End Charles Grant. The Broncos were lacking in the Defensive End spot, and Charles Grant is expected to put up numbers this season. The trade also seen the moving of Dominque Foxworth to the 49ers instead of the Saints, who gave FS Josh Bullocks to the Broncos.
The three starting safeties left room for one of them to go. Strong Safety Nick Ferguson was then traded to the Falcons for a 6th round pick. This wasn't the only trade the Broncos did with the Falcons. They traded a 3rd round draft pick, and two 4th round picks as well as Nate Webster for Jordan Beck and Allen Rossum. Rossum is expected to do Kick Returning jobs and Beck was expected to start in the 3-4 Defensive set.
One of the biggest trades was a 6 way trade with the Redskins, Lions, Chargers, 49ers, and Bills. In the trade, the Broncos lost two 1st, 2nd, and 3rd round picks, as well as a 4th. They gave up Karl Paymah, Tatum Bell, Rod Smith, DJ Williams, and Jason Elam. In return they got a 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th in 2008, Dre Bly and Michael Turner. A lot of clubs questioned the motives of the Broncos owner after this.
The last major trade process trade thus far in the season sent Marques Colston, who just got his first look at his new uniform in Denver to the New York Giants along with backup Runningback, Mike Bell. Denver recieved Rookie Sinorice Moss, who is expected to start in the absense of another starting Wide Reciever. They also Recieved LaVar Arrington. LaVar is borderline injury prone, and a lot of GMs were sceptical about his ability to stay healthy. GM Lael has faith in him.
But, as a precaution, the Broncos got a hold of the Cowboys owner, for what was supposed to be there last trade of the season. Jordan Beck, who the GM of the Broncos was very high on all off season, was sent with a 1st round pick for Line Backer Akin Ayoldele.
Some of the non major trades are; Tutan Reyes and a 3rd for George Foster, Elvis Dumervil and Courtney Brown for a 3rd and a 5th round pick, Kendard Lang for Ray Edwards. Paul Ernester for 2 6ths and 7th. Duane Starks for two 6th round picks. Eric Johnson for two 3rds and Rod Garder for a 3rd.
There is another trade that's in the works, and all questions will be answer when GM Lael holds his official press conference some time this week.

For Madden people the best way to explain it is that he has a very low awareness.
