Referring people to the board..
What are referrals?

The administrator may have enabled referrals, which allows you to be credited for any new users you invite to the forum.

You gain referrals by promoting vBulletin Community Forum using your unique referral link. The link you should use as your referral link is this:

http://www.maddenboard.com/forum/index.php?referrerid=$userid

WHERE $userid = YOUR USERID NUMBER Not your username, your userneumber...

Each time someone follows this link to vBulletin Community Forum and registers as a new member, your referral count will be incremented by one. The number of referrals you have can be viewed in your profile.



WHY DO THIS??

A few reasons

1) It will help build the board..

2) It will give you points

3) In the future I plan on implementing a system so that when someone you refer earns points you also earn a portion of what they earn...

If you want to know your user number just view YOUR profile and in the lURL bar of your browser it will have a link.. at the end it will have a number.. thats your usernumber...

Just a warning.. if you refer someone to the board and after a while I notice they are not being active I will dock your points back... just to ensure peole aren't trying to cheat the system (not saying anyone is just letting people know)

You just use that link and post it places telling people to join...

Basically yes, in fact I am going to try to implement a system so that instead of getting points when you refer someone you will get an override on all the points they earn forever...
