At this point I think I have decided to go ahead and start on this..
I would appreciate the support of the Veteran members on this.. I will also probably be looking to promote a few members to Mods once this gets going because we will need a team in place to combat the spam that will be brought about by this.
I will create a thread to keep people updated.
Sure, I'm more then willing to help out with anything Cash.
I think when and if you could give us a basic run down of what you had in mind with this it would make pitching ideas for it a little bit easier. After all, I'm not sure what limitations come into play in terms of programming.
No hurry though as I imagine you probably have to get things rolling first.
Haha, well I probably cannot help with the programming, but just about anything else I can try to assist in.
I really think the boards activity is really doing well, especially amongst the long time members, but it's always a good thing to lure in new members to the board and I think this could help with it.
I feel like having more members would improve the Sim League in general, too. It will create more people wanting to play in it, and thus, more competitiveness amongst the owners who are in it. Plus the owners will need to be active in order to keep their teams.
This really is a great idea, i know i contemplated joining goaline but decided against it. This is probably as close to professianally run you can get. And thats great cus its dependable. Now all i need is good SAT scores (come out tommrow) and life will be great.

Wow, great news! I would like very much to help you out in anyway that I can, its about time I give something back.
I am 100% behind this Cash, anything I can do to help now or in the future I will..Should be great for the boards.

Hmm, the MaddenBoard Experience? (My first try, will keep thinking).
I'm also a GM on my GLB team in case you wanted to know what options they offer as far as running/gameplanning a team, though to be honest it's basically a slightly more detailed form of Madden's sliders (run/pass, plus inside/outside, short/medium/long, etc.)
I've been putting off posting here as I wasn't really sure of anything I'd like to see added (and still don't). I'll keep thinking though and am willing to help anyway I can.
Think it's a great idea, and can't wait.

Mind if I just list a few off the top of my head? Most of them aren't that great, but, what the heck..
- MaddenBoard Players League
- MaddenBoard 'UPlay' League
- MaddenBoard 'In The Game' Experience (based off ST's idea)
- MaddenBoard All-Star League
Just a few, feel free to build off any of those if you guys can think of something better..
I really like that one actually.

"MMORPG" as defined by Wikipedia.
"Massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) is a genre of computer role-playing games (CRPGs) in which a large number of players interact with one another in a virtual world."
...so it could be as simple as Madden Board Football MMORPG
We could also add some spice and call it "The MILF" - Maddenboard International League of Football
League slogan could be "Come get some"

Hey Cash, I just had an idea for the development of this, though I'm not sure if you'd want to do it considering you probably have a ton on your plate just trying to get all this set up.
It's just something that is extremely popular amongst video game developers that draws a lot of attention and can help gain some hype for an upcoming game, or in this case the MaddenBoard Football MMO.
A developer diary. In other words, a blog. I know MB has blogs, but since this is a pretty big deal you could put each update of it on the front page or for each entry you could make a post for it so people could respond and ask questions about it.
I really think that would draw a lot of people in as it could really start to build some hype before it's even released and let people know how it's coming.
Just a thought I had, not sure if you'd be interested.
I think Forenci's blog idea is right on the money, help build the hype and thus activity before the league even gets up and running.
And Duke, I love the name and slogan. Genius.

Sounds like a plan, Cash. I think the blog will also help from people asking you every second about how it's coming along too - which is always a benefit too.
You have my support and my hand in what you can. I'll do my best. I mean, GLB is good, but I think know what I know about how you run things here, this will be better, completely.

well i actually do play GLB and my main beef is that its so unrealistic because some guys jack up speed and catching as WR's and ur golden i think that a good thing to do is the 200 idea
u pick ur char assign height and weight instead of being random
u get all skills set at 0 or 10 or whatever u want to start
u get 200 points to spend on physical attributes ( str speed catching agility throwing blocking etc.)
these are your ' college abilities or talent' u have already develpoped
then u can still train these using in game money
then as you level u spend points on special abilties ex. diving catch jumping catch lower shoulder juke move bull rush etc.
so new people arent stuck with 15 throwing while higher level guys have like 60 and the game is only starting its 3rd season imagine in 2 more when they have like 120 speed and u have 18 its really annoying and very unbalanced
