I would like each member of the board to choose a topic. Anything they want, but make it somewhat specific.
For example.. Your topic should not be "Madden" Or "NFL Football"
It should be more like "Madden Online" or "Madden Franchise mode" Or "Madden Playbooks"
Or "The New England Patriots"
Your topics do not have to be Madden or NFL related they could be basketball.. or pretty much anything you want (gaming or sports would be preferable though.. but not required)
Once you claim a topic you will be responsible for starting new threads about that topic. I want you to commit to starting a new thread every x days minimum. You can set the amount of days, but I would like you to write it here.
Do not commit to more than you can handle. If you can make 1 thread a week.. thats fine.
1 thread per day.. much better
It's up to you.. but I would appreciate participation in this from every member of the board.
If you take a topic.. and someone wants that topic and they show they can be more active and show more quality in that topic you are/do then your topic will be stripped and given to the other member.
Quality is important in this too.. your new thread should be of quality.. your thoughts and youropinions about something that has happened.. it should take you a few minutes to make your thread.. not just a quick little post with a link.

That sounds like a good idea to me. Really good way to help boost activity and give new members more topics and threads to contribute to.
I wouldn't mind taking up the "Video Game" topic, as I'm sure most of you I pay quite a bit of attention to video games. I actually have been tempted to post more threads on it but I wasn't sure if anyone would really be interested in some of the gaming news that goes on.
Extremists are like slinkys... Ultimately useless in the grand scheme of things... But still brings a smile to the face when you push them down a flight of stairs.
First off, I like the idea.
But then, right now I dunno what would be my 'topic' here.
Buffalo Bills for example??... Well, there are dozens of other members here who are nearer to the stuff happening in Buffalo (maybe every football fan in the US).
Or european soccer... But then, who cares here for european soccer??!!...
I really have to think what I can name my topic. If I do this, I want to make it good....

Well I would have preferred Soccer as I watch at least 3 games a week and its an area I've become passionate about. I could easily make multiple threads a week on it. But I dont want to nudge you out Billster if thats the area you want. And much like him, Im not sure how many people will participate in it.
I suppose my secondary choice would be Boxing/UFC.

Motorsports would be good... because it isn't eally a topic brought up much here.. it would be nice to add a new topic it might bring in new members..
Something else I would like to add to this.. Whenever you submit a new thread for your topic you should click the link on the bottom of the page and digg it.. I will add a digg code to articles too..
If someone manages to start a new thread that becomes popular on digg and sends a good amount of traffic to the board.. I will reward them with a decent prize.

I think if this site wants to attract more guys from Europe and wants to be a 'global player' good soccer disussions are an extremely good fit to raise the member and post count...

Hmmm...I really like this idea. I'm guessing by the looks of it, that this isn't really a hockey friendly forum (Seeing how it's a 3rd tier sport now)...but, being a big hockey guy, I wouldn't have any problem at all doing the NHL if that's ok with you, cash?
Sure... Another idea to add to this is if you are doing a subject that is not something current members here are really into.. try to bring some members here to discuss the topic with you.
