Last time I posted my teams week 2 game in the old thread but got only 1 question. I think most people thought I was refering to the old week 1 game and didnt looked again in my old thread. From now on I will open a thread for every game.
WEEK 3
Bills-Browns 26-20
Mr.Billster steps up to the podium. From the outside you can hear the fans still celebrating.
Mr.Billster:” Hello folks. We had a very nice game today against the Browns winning 26-20. Not everything I saw was already at a level to be called supreme or extremely good, but we definitely had a solid day. The Browns played with a lot of backups on both side of the ball, but so did we.
The Offense was clicking while getting an amazing amount of 21 first downs against the Browns Defense. We had no problems moving downfield and this time QB J.P. Losman and the running game were clearly better. I hope next week J.P. will be even better.
Our Defense wasn’t on the field very often, but managed to have a solid performance holding them to 280 yards. The only thing I didn’t liked was how good QB Schaub looked in some of his throws. While we were able to keep their Offense under control most of the game he was dangerous. We need to be a little bit better against the pass.
One negative thing that really hurt us was the injury of our starting CB Drayton Florence. He will be sidelined for at least 3-4 weeks.
All in all that was really a game I liked. My team still has some problem areas like the QB but generally we are on a good way to have a successful regular season”.
Feel free to ask questions.

I have nothing but good memories of playing for the Bills. It's something I cherish. When I was playing for the Pats, I'd wear a Bills T-shirt under my uniform. Someone came up to me one day and said, 'Fred, no matter what you wear on the outside, you,ll always be a Buffalo Bill on the inside.'
Could you please give some more detail about your QB Situation? Are you not satisfied with JP's numbers or performance? or are you more impressed with Holcomb?
What changes do you feel have to be made to make your team more
successful?
Mr.Billster:" More successful??? I dunno, I think we will be pretty successful this year. We are playing much better than I personally thought to tell the truth in our pre-season games so far. And that makes me beleive that 8-8 in the regular season is absolutely realistic for this team. Positionwise I think we would just need 2 more elite OL players to be among the leagues best teams, or to be at least a top 10 team of the league.
Being rated as a higher team does it concern you that this game was so close and that you were behind the entire game until the fourth Quater?[/quote]
Mr.Billster:" Why should that be concerning me?
Look, I saw our game, we played against a solid Browns team and we were the attacking side most of the game. We were pushing them to make Defense most of the game. Our Offense passed and rushed nicely the whole game. We had 21 first downs and lot of formidable plays the whole game. But unfortunetely sometimes field dominance and ball control do not translate into points. But it was just a matter of time for us to take advantage of our game and to score. We absolutely deserved this win in my opinion. If we play similar to this in our regular season games I expect 10+ wins this year".

Let me tell it like this, I am more impressed of the play of Kelly Holcomb. QB J.P. Losman is good and will be our starter this year and next year and all the years he is playing for our Bills. But Holcomb will get some opportunities the upcoming regular season to show us his qualities too. Right now I have to figure out how this 'co-operation' at QB will look like for the regular season.

Wtih 21 first downs it seems that you would have mad a much better score... Is your teams inability to finish a drive and score in the Red Zone concerning?
If a team puts up the numbers you put up today wouldnt you expect a much higher score and it not to have been EEK'ed out in OT???
These may be similar questions but Iam trying to learn to act like a reporter so bare with me and learn the sports jargain....

Mr.Billster:" These are very good questions. Of course it would have been better to score earlier in the game and make me relax... We need to work on our game Effectiveness. That is surely a thing we need to work on for the upcoming games. I mean if your having a game like this with 21 first downs and wonderful plays you need to score a lot more often and get out with the win easily in the regular time of a game. We need to execute better, meaning we need to take advantage out of our game better. We definetely will work on this".

Mr Billster... Are you saying that you are going to have a sort of Quarterback rotation during the regular season? That you are going to pull out on Quarterback and stick in another here and there?
Does it concern you at all that these Quarterback rotations have never really resulted in anything positive in the past?

Mr.Billster: " We are aware of this problem and know what the past is telling us. A rotation of QBs is never a satisfying solution and we only would go for it if we really see no other chance. We would prefer to go with an undisputed starter for a long period of time. Right now it is really unsure who will start at week 1 of the regular season. If you ask me I would say chances are 51% Holcomb and 49% Losman. There you can see how close the race is...".

Coach Billister, what would you say are the positives and negatives of your team thus far? Also, who will fill in for Drayton Florence?
Thanks.
Mr.Billster: " Well, I wanted to give a summary about our pre-season after our final game against the Lions in week 4 of pre-season so I wont tell much now. But to give you an answer I will make now a short comment on both sides of the ball. Positive so far is the entire Defense, speaking of all backups and starters and even the Offense. But we have a QB controversy over here in Buffalo which makes the only negative thing I can mention here.
Referring to your second question I will make two announcements now, one about CB Florence.
1.The vacant No.2 CB spot after the injury of starter CB Drayton Florence will most likely go to CB Kiwaukee Thomas. He and rookie CB Asthon Youboty are still battling for the starter role and I see the chances 75% Thomas and 25% Youboty. Thomas simply has the better eye and a lot more experience and I don’t think that his lack of top-speed will hurt him. Youboty needs more time to develop into a solid starter, but for him the starter role comes much too early.
2. We will play in our final pre-season game against the Lions with the team most likely going into the regular season the same way".
