at 44 years of age...he lowers the average age of the yankees ball club. Nice pick up George.
Roger has completely ruined his career and I hope he never getsd voted in the hall of fame...

I hate the Yankees. Always respected Clemens but I really hate the decision.
Its just a patch for the pitching problems the yanks are having. I doubt they get much better. Yes roger will help them but with all the injuries they have already and who knows what others will follow I doubt hes what will help right the ship in NY.
Anyone but the Yankees......

For 4.5 million a month I'd do damn near any job... For at least a month. Damn how does baseball make so much money.

It was obvious he was going to New York if he decided to come back.
Houston is a bad team and won't be a playoff team.
Boston doesn't need him.
That being said I don't know if this will really help the Yankees. I think they would have made the playoffs either with him or without him.

It's not 'Baseball' It's the Yankees and Steinbrenner.
The Pitchers on the Yankees make more money than a few other whole other teams combined.

Yeah, baseball is run off money. Always has and always will....one of the reasons I'm not a fan of baseball. I think they Yankee's blow and I've always hated the Yankee's for many reaons (big one being I'm a Redsox fan ) but yeah......I think its funny when people are saying Clemens isn't doing it for the money. Mmmhmmm, sure, and bears don't sh*t in the woods.

Clemens or not, they really need to pull it together if they want to win their division. I don't think they are going to catch up to the Red Sox.

I'll never get tired of hearing that statement right there. Pay ALL the money in the world, your team won't be the best. Generally (but not always) in any sport, the higher paid guys are usually the hard headed one who won't settle for less. The Marlines pulled it off, the Braves, the Cardinals......you don't have to have an EXPENSIVE team to win the game, you have to have a co-opertive and well functioning team to win.

I know, but then something always goes wrong at the end lol. The Yanks always seem to get hot at the end of the year. Damn them.
I hope this is the year again but who knows. Redsox and Patriots go all the way?

you know a good example of this was a couple years ago in 2001...the Seattle Mariners were a year removed from losing Ken Griffey Jr. (which was a great decision for their franchise because he has been injureed evry season since) and one year removed from losing Alex Rodriguez.
when they were doubted and everyone counted them out, they grabbed Ichiro and tied a record fro most wins ever in a season (116)...it wasnt about the money it was team unity and thats what wions championships
its all about the heart not the wallets
