It's getting close and there are a lot of rumors out there, what do you think will happen with guys like Soriano, Abreu and Hernandez?

heard Soriano maybe going to Minnesota...not sure cause that was only a prediction...He'd be boss there on that turf!
I just want Atlanta to get someone GOOD!!!! Other than Wickman, cause he'll just get traded after this year anyway.

Wickman is a free agent at the end of the year. He is definately going to be a rental player for Atlanta. I think he will retire at the end of the year. I've heard numerous rumors surrounding Jorge Sosa of Atlanta, some say he will go to Colorado for Ray King (Left Handed Bullpen Help). I've also heard that Sosa along with Ryan Langerhans may be shipped to Chicago for Greg Maddux and Scott Williamson, but now that Williamson has been traded to SD I don't see that happening. Of course there are the rumors that Giles will be traded to SD for Bullpen help as well.
As for Abreu, Soriano, and Hernandez.. I think Hernandez may end up with the Mets, Abreu will stay put in Philly and Soriano will end up a Twin. But thats just what I think..

I'm tellin ya, I don't think Abreu is going to get moved. I think if anyone from Philly is moved it will be Pat Burrell. Abreu is the type of player that can be very good or very bad. His defense is often shaky, but what he brings to the team can also be amazing. Philly is right back in the WC race now, I think 5.5 out, and I don't think they will downgrade, they might actually upgrade (Starting Pitching).

I agree... Though if they can't find a suitor for Burrell, Dellucci may be moving... He's a nice piece who the Phillies have underused.

LOL no one is taking that $25 million contract...Ortiz is going to be in Boston for the rest of his career...Pujols, LMAO...and they won't get Soriano without trading their entire farm system, which they could very well do.
The Mets might need a pitcher...but then again, they might not. I still think they'll blow by the NL in the playoffs with a 4-man rotation of Pedro, Glavine, El Duque, Trachsel/Maine/Bannister/Pelfrey.

Mets are supposingly interested in Livan Hernandez of the Nats.
And as for JimShoe.. dude, come on..make reasonable posts.. Pujols or Ortiz for A-Rod? No way that will happen. I'll tell you what, Soriano may be a Yankee, but I don't think it's going to be for A-Rod.. (He's got the No Trade Clause and has said he will veto any trade)..

First A-Rod wont' be traded and no one wants to assume his contract. The Cards would be crazy to trade Pujols and Ortiz won't move anywhere either.
The only person you can get is Soriano obviously because he's been rumored to be on the block.

A-Rod is not a bad player... But, he can't throw to first base, or second base, or home for that matter... Thank God he isn't throwing to third or there'd be errors there too... He can't hit in the clutch. Give me Pujols or Ortiz anyday...

A-Rod leads the league in errors and is possibly the worst clutch hitter ever. If he does hit 800 homeruns, 794 of them would probably be meaningless. He's the king of all stat padders...but when the game is on the line, forget about it...
