well see, i dont really care whether he goes or stays, i personally would like to see Hank keep the record... but im a big Hank Aaron fan thats all... gotta focus on my Reds... and the Giants are enemies to me.

Well if he blows out his knee one homer before getting to Babe Ruth Id absolutely love it. Id hate it if he also broke aarons record. Hank was a class act something i dont think anyone could say about Mr Steroid.

He said on MLB.com that if he "feels good" he will come back in 2007.

I think its just another attempt from Barry to deflect criticism off him and try to put it on the media.

What I find funny is that if Barry would just have embraced the fans he would probably have a nation / world of baseball fans cheering for him to pass Aaron. Now what you have is most people saying they will boo him if he breaks it.

I personally don't care if he used steroids or not. Actually in many cases Im all for steriods being used. Most people just aren't informed properly of what they can do to help you. There is a huge difference between using them to just get bigger and using them to help your body heal.

I too, hope he doesn't break the record. They'll be so much controversy, much more than there is now.

Since Sammy got caught corking his bat, how many times have they talked about it? NONE! If he was getting close, they'd bring it up ALOT!!!

Same thing with Bonds, but he stays in the spotlight.

Now Albert Pujols...that man is deserving. He does it year in and year out....Bonds got strong later in his career.

Amen. A couple of days ago, I read a good article by Skip Bayless (no, I didn't know he wrote good articles either) on ESPN.com about Barry...you pretty much summed it up right there.

He's just a big baby, IMO. He tries to make people feel sorry for him complaining about the media...then he tries to make people beg him to come back by threatening to retire. Personally, I say let him retire before he breaks the record.

I saw Bonds doing some light running today. Hell of a limp he has going. Makes me wonder just how much he will be able to run and play the outfield.
