Im just curious how people feel towards him. Do you guys feel that with everything coming out about that it will make his great career less spectacular?
Also, if he gets indictied on Tax Evasion charges will that upset anyone or at this point do you think most people just don't care?
I think when all is said and done, things will be fine for Barry. Anyone remember Sosa and his corked bat and al the bad things said about him? I didn't think so...
As long as bonds dont break any records I dont have a problem with him. I Think Aaron got the homerun record legit, and he should remain in its spot. There are questions, but there are many about many people. I have never like Bonds. If he has to retire cause of his bum knee then its about damn time......
Right now, I am really anti-Bonds. I was never really fond of him as a player, but always respected his abilities as one of the top players in the game when he was with Pittsburg. Then when he moved to San Fransico...you saw, only what I can describe, a severe physical change. He started in SF in 93, and it was a year or two later when the change really became noticable. He was 29 years old his first year in SF. ESPN used to have a really interesting progression of pictures showing Bonds each year.
Everytime I think about Bonds, the first thing to my mind is Steriods. He's admitted to taking them (supposedly unknowingly). Honestly, I don't care what his totals end up at, I would never consider him the HR champ. And won't consider him anything other than a cheater.
I hope he does have to retire. That record is Aarons, and if Bonds does break it I will be very upset..considering I think Bonds is on 'roids. I really just don't like the guy.
There is no question he was on steriods. He admits in the GJ testimony about his trainer using the cream and something else on him. He just says he never knew it was steroids.
If Bonds does break the homerun record anywhere other than San Fran, he will get booed for the honour. I personally don't like Bonds, he doesn't take responsibility for anything, its always everyones elses fault
The thing I dislike most about Bonds is how he has always held himself above others. Even when he was in Pittsburg, I remember the sportscaters (here in Atlanta) talking about how Bonds gets his own hotel seperate from the team, he eats by himself, has his own everything, and when asked, his teammates would reply 'that's Barry' and wouldn't say anything else about it.
He has such disdain for Ruth, that he'll go to the Americian League and DH to break the record, one of his friends was quoted on SC. And I remember an inverview he gave where he said he was a better player than Ruth. I don't see Bonds going out and winning 23 games and a 1.74 ERA (career 94-46 with a 2.27 ERA).
I think when all is said and done, things will be fine for Barry. Anyone remember Sosa and his corked bat and al the bad things said about him? I didn't think so...
I do every time I see a picture of him.
Also, about Bonds, I was about to say everything Yoda said. A guy having a career year in his mid-30's? Give me a break. Plus, when you're an athlete you have to know what you're putting into your body... I think he knew they were roids.

tax evasion is the least of his worries, he can afford and penalties. Personally you can't knock him and his skills. I mean he still has an eye at the plate despite his age, but as a player i was never fond of him or his milestones. Just my own personal bias like that of cash's towards T.O.

Tax Evasion comes with jail time. Skill is one thing. Yes, he is an amazing talent with mad skills. But, you can knock him for his usage of steriods. And it's like Hank Aaron said....No, steroids don't help you hit a baseball. They may help you hit it farther, but the biggest thing is the way they help you recover. When you reach that age, it takes longer to rest and recover the strain during a 162 game season.
