Yes, I have been working on the Sim. In fact I have been putting in a LOT of hours. And not really feeling like I am getting very far, but I will use this blog to explain why that is.
First I am learning as I go. When you learn as you go it takes longer when you first start and then you get more effecient.
Second, I am using trial and error to develop formulas, or algorithms to control player movement. First it was speed. Which it took me a day or two to figure out exactly how I wanted to accomplish that. Once I figure it out, the rest was easy.
Next was acceleration, and that is where I am now working on acceleration. I personally do not think that agility is acceleration. I think that acceleration is its own attribute. But as I was working on my formula for acceleration I realized that acceleration depends on speed. Because of that I have created a COMPLETELY new attribute not called acceleration. Acceleration will be figured by using that new attribute and speed.
I am close to completing my formula for acceleration, I have spent 4 days on it, all of the numbers for everything will need to be tweaked when I open testing to a select few group of testers, but for now I just want to get it close and have it make sense.
So.. after 4 days I think today.. by the end of the day i will have a formula in place for acceleration, once it is the next thing I will add is agility.
Thats it for today.. more later..

First off, an opinion cannot be wrong....its an OPINION
Ok, good. In my opinion, you're an idiot. Good thing I can't be wrong!
Timothy 2:12
Thats the good thing about you making your own game, your going to be able to create things how you want, and if thats the way you think, theres a good chance that there is a group of people that will agree with you, and therefore choose your game over another.
Keep up the good work
Awesome news Cash. We do need to get this board back on track, I used to live on this thing it seemed like when I was in my Frosh and Soph and Junior years of high school. Those were the days.
I agree with what Short (I believe it was him that said it in the other thread) said about getting some topics going and some people talking on the sites again. That'd be a good start.
Very interesting to read. Looks like in the end something very nice will come up as the result of all this efforts. Good luck for the rest of your work on this, Cash.

I have nothing but good memories of playing for the Bills. It's something I cherish. When I was playing for the Pats, I'd wear a Bills T-shirt under my uniform. Someone came up to me one day and said, 'Fred, no matter what you wear on the outside, you,ll always be a Buffalo Bill on the inside.'
