Who's next for Hatton?
I wanted to post this for TR, thought he would enjoy the read if he hasn't seen it already.

I heard Hatton say somewhere that he wanted to fight Floyd but like I posted in Fact or Fiction he needs to get alot more big name fights under his belt before he fights Floyd ...
Floyd will only come out of retirement if the money is right ... a la Oscar De La Hoya .... Hatton doesn't bring that to the table ....
What about Miguel Cotto ..... that would be a good fight to see vs Floyd and or Hatton ...

Yeah, I think the guy has it....but its a matter of making everybody else think that.

lol, I decided to start training MMA after I move into my new apartment. My friend has trained just under a year now and he told me I sh ould do it. I give him a run for his money and I'm 5'7" 120lbs, he's 5'11" 210lbs and can bunch 300 lbs. He thinks I could do really good if I trained so when I move into the apartment with him Saturday then I'm gonna have the extra money to do it.
Could be interesting...

lol, yeah yeah yeah...people always take me as a joke because of my size but watch and see. I'm highly aggressive, extremely strong for my size and I have a lot of heart. If I can afford to do it, and I do start, I'll take video whenever I get a fight and I'll post it on the boards.

In MMA you will be fighting other 120 lb guys... thats fine.. but your friend weighs 210 and is almost as strong as me.. he should kill you if he can't he's an idiot.

Well we're not punching but he is trying to submit me and does punch occassionally (but we're not wearing pads or gloves) and he has a hard time at times. Occassionally he'll get me good and I can't get out but I can get him some times as well.
Since he started training, he gets me a lot more so then I get him though.

I think pound for pound, Hatton is one of the best out there...I think he could take on a lot of decent guys, so long as its light welter...He isnt naturally a welter, if he moves up to that again he is an idiot.
Of course I am totally biased since he lives so close to me and is a hero...But I would LOVE to see him get a fight with a really big name, and prove himself.

Unfortunately that big name won't be Floyd ... not enough money in it for Floyd ... but I still think Hatton impressed alot of people in his last fight ...

Oh yeah, Im not stupid enough to believe it would be Floyd... But any big name out there would do for Hatton. He is definately worthy of a shot, pretty much in his prime right now..

I'm not a huge boxing fan, but I'd love to see Hatton get a shot at some of the bigger names in the future.
However, like some of you said, it's just a matter of taking on some 'lower fighters on the food chain' first and work his way up.
Would love to see him fight Floyd. Would be funny if Hatton knocked him out in the first minute of the fight.
On a side note, you're a friggin' twig, Poetic. 120 pounds? That's insane. I'm sure some of the women in 'Who's the finest' brackets weigh more than that. If I was your friend benching 300 I'd just pick you up and throw you, lol.
I'm just kidding with you, but still, you're like a very small, undersized, running back, lol.

haha, yeah 125 lbs at 5'7" though. I'm short too. Eh, sucks being small but its all good cause I'm not scrawny or anything. I work out a lot and I'm pretty built, I just can't seem to put on anything for weight.

Silence pip squeak! Lol, kidding. That's actually not too bad. A 3rd Round pick in this years draft who was drafted by the Bears was 4'10 and 90 something pounds when he played high school football. Insane if you ask me, I don't know how he did it. Garrett Wolfe. Leading rushing in the NCAA last year, he's 5'7 170 ish I think now.
Also, I'm sure TR knows the answer to this one, but who will Hatton be fighting next? Any idea? I'm interested to know..

Yeah, I'm drinking lots of protein now and am going to start going regularly to the gym with my friend. I want to try to get up to the actual lightweight class (155 lbs) if possible. He was a personal trainer at World Gym in Jacksonville so I'm sure he can get me on a routine to get up there.
I maxed out on Friday at 165 bench...I haven't lifted in a year so I was suprised I put that much up without getting back into the routine of lifting first lol.
