Anybody here play the NHL games if so anything that you would change, or something that you like about the game and hope that it stays. I'm a fan of putting money you make into different departments of your team like scouting or coaching, I also think the franchise mode could use some work but I'm not to sure on what.

I haven't played NHL 06, last one I played was 05.. but something I would've liked to have been added would be farm teams of some sort. For example, the Philadelphia Flyers would have the Philadelphia Phantoms, and have their full roster as well. That way it is easier to move people when people get hurt, plus you won't have 6-7 guys inactive after all your lines are filled.
I used to play the nhl games, but I got out of it for a while. When I tried to pick it up again, the gameplay was just too frustrating. I know they went through some years of trying new things, and there was the strike, which kinda ruined it for all facets of the game. Maybe I should have practiced more, but I never felt like I could get the players to do what I wanted. Yeah, I won some games, but it just felt like button smashing after a while.
That being said... I love hockey and I wish I could get back into the video game. I definatly would be interested if I knew they were putting in the same features as Madden or MLB Hitters Eye. I don't remember which one it was, but there was a version that you could pick up different coaches to help improve your team (endurance, shooting, goaltending, etc.) I think that was my favorite one.
I got one in 03 or something. Its a pretty cool game, but the longevity of it I found limiting, purely because you had to look at bright white ice the whole time...Did my head in lol

The game actually kind of does have a minor league team but not really the whole roster, you can send guys down and call them up, but I really like the idea where you get the whole roster of the minor league team that would be nice, passing is kind of a pain in the game also I do not always get the puck to go where I want.
