Alright So i already played the first game at Villanova soo lets see how that went.
Seawolves Drops The Ball (Over and Over again) In 96-61 Debacle
Philadelphia,PA(AP)-
While Hamlet once noted that something was rotten in the state of Denmark, Patrons of the The Pavillion probley noticed something smelling equally foul in the state of PA while watching the Stony Brooke Seawolves get smoked 86-61 by the Wildcats of Villanova. The Best way to describe the stench in literal terms would be that of a skunk on fire.
For most of the nigh, the Seawolves Dutifully balanced their inability to score with an equal measure of indifference towards defending. Instead the Wildcats execute their offense without the temerity to interrupt them on their way to scoring nearly every time down the Court.
The play of the Seawolves sought to answer the question. 'Does a rank amateur stink?' Well, if they play for Stony Brook, the resounding answer is 'yes'
'Tonight we failed funamentally as Coaches and Players," noted Coach Carrell. "We allowed a vavalier attitude to permate our effort. The other team wanted it more, which simply cant happen because we dont have enough to prevail on talent alone, nobody does. You have to want it more. Iw ant a guy who's going to Deleiver the ball where it needs to go and doesnt let the defense dictate the pace to him. When our guy has the ball in the post, I want him to decide where he's take the rock and then go hard. On defense we want players who will limit the offense and play like there is no tommorrow. If we do these things consstently, We'll eventually wind up where we want to be."
"You learn more from your failures then your successes, so i sure hope that these guys paid attention tonight. Tonight was like a crash course in what not to do as a basketball team."
There are a million legends on the blacktop of any city in the United State. on Courts where ball is played both formalyl and recreationally they are found almost everyday. In the currency of games and moments, they are won or lost in a heartbeat. Sometimes, they are even stolen. In a stirring performance that may one day become the stuff of a legend, Akin Dobbins provided an almost Mythical effort in scoring 13 points against a very mortal Villanova team. With each foray to the net more elegant than prose. with every strain of effort more powerful than any soliloguy found in the classics of Homer or Shakesperare, Dobbins transformed, playing with divine providence and epic Amplitude.
There's an old saying in sports, ' A chicken plays a part in bacon and eggs, but the pig is commited.' With their performance on the backbords last night the Seawolves firmley entrenched themselves in the camp of the 'Chickens' with their wretched effort level adn inability to fight through adversity giving up a rebounding defiscit of 28-46 The game was lost adn won in the paint as the Wildcats were able to Capitalize on their opponets indifference to contact. like sharks smelling blood in the water, They attacked with heightended aggression.
well that was alot to write....i dont take credit for coming up with that as i just copy the news thing on the game...but it talks about SOME important stats soo yeah...next game is vs. Lehigh who arnt nearly as good sooo hopefully we will be looking at a win
