OK so my last dynasty got lost in the fray of my busy fall life, i was pratically unable to play Ncaa so i figured i'd start anew. This time i am the 1-AA YSU Penguins. We replaced Arkansas St. in the Sun Belt conference.I am playing on varsity w/ 3 min quarters.
Game 1- YSU vs. Mizzou
I personally feel we showed some flashes of brilliance. At half time it was 10-6 in Mizzou's favor. We had a TD but missed the extra point. My sophmore QB #14 was 8-19 for 175 yds a td and a pick. My rushing game was not quite as im pressive w/ HB's # 32 & combining to get only 20 yds on 12 carries. Although #9 did prove valuable at catching w/ 2 rec for 29 yds. My other wideouts that pulled a few in were #82 w/ 3 receptions for 86 yds and a td. and #13 who had 2 receptions for 60 yds.
I though my defense performed extremely well holding an explosive Missouri team to just 17 points. Leading the way was my FS #25 w/ 6 tackles.
OK in game 1 my starting LE #86 broke his collar bone and is gone for the season. Now going into game 2 which was against the #12 LSU Tigers my starting tailbak, HB #9, has to be suspended for 3 games for multiple team infractions. Also suspended was TE #46 for fighting in practice. Now going into Death Valley is nerve racking enough, much less w/o 3 starters. So i have to admit at this point i was really nervous. But my guys had a wonderful showing once they got going. LSU scored 13 on us in the first half so going into half time it was 13-0. And the guys knew they could do one of two things. 1 go out and roll over and have it be 40-0 or 2 go out and fight since we weren't out of it. They chose option #2. My hat is off to our defensive coordinator who blitzed the Backers like mad in the second half and shut LSU's offense down. But the YSU offense couldn't go anywhere either. Until 2 min left in the game, we forced LSU to go 4 and out and started driving. QB #14 completed one pass after another driving the guys 67 yds into the endzone. After the PAT it was 13-7. The onside kick failed and w/ 60 seconds on the clock and 2 timeouts we shut them down and got the ball back w/ 15 seconds left after the return. So on the first play we got a completion to the side line that went aways takin us to the 50 w/ seven seconds left. We knew we only had time for one play so we heaved to the endzone where they picked it off and ran it bck makin the final score 19-7.

Game 3- Week 4- Year 1
Memphis vs. Youngstown State
Great game by all once again our defesne put up a valient effort. Our offense really put on a show too. For the first time all year we had a rushing TD and to go w/ that 2 1oo yard rushers. One of which was QB #14, which surprised us. The score was tied at half 14-14 with one of our TD's being on a 39 yarder by the TE that he caught about 5 yards past the line broke one and took it to the house. Memphis really just couldn't stop us. It was nice to get that first win, especially over a 2-0 team.

OK this ones gonna be short it was basically an exibition against ULM. threw up 56 pts. and that was w/o either starting tailback seeing as how they are both suspended for fighting. The pump fake made their corner biite every single time so over the top was open cause their saftey couldn't catch my mom, much les my wideouts. Didn't write down the stats cause i honestly forgot. Something like 300 passing and 150 rushing for the QB. My 3rd string TB pitched in about 75 and 2 tds. Thats all i got for now. More tomorrow, i go wed thru sun off school, i get alot up in that time to make up for this crappy one.
Here's an update, didn't feel real good last ngiht so i didn't write the stats down but i'll just give some brief narratives.
Keeping the ball rolling we went back home and welcomed in the Ole Miss Rebels. Ole Miss came out flat on their first series. And they were doomed from there. We came out firering on all cylinders. Our run game was working even though we were down to our third string tailback due too suspenions. And we were able to go over the top on them as often as we liked making for a not very exciting 30-14 win. The only thing they really could do was stop us inside the 20 * which point our kicker put it through.
The next week we were away again playing the troy state Trojans. A game where we finally had everyone back, but that seemed to cause problems, the offense couldn't go anywhere and the only thing that saved it from being uglier was our defense,Who is currently Ranked #1 in the nation allowing only 253 yds per game. so with no offense the final score was 21-0. they couldn't run but we definitly could not get a handle on the speed they had at wideout.
and i know i;ve forgotten a game because i am 1-2 in the conference, but i'll check on that and get back later
The other game i lost was to Middle Tennessee State. With that said we've gotten our mutha truckin roll on in 2 straight conference games. The first being against the University of Louisiana-Lafayette Ragin' Cajuns. Both the ground game and the run game were and going. 194 yards passing, 57 rushing, and 4 total TDs for Qb #14, 116 yards on 19 carries and a Td for HB #32. WR #13 led the recievers w/ 7 receptions for 168 yds and 2 Tds. Leadin the way for the Defense was SS #30 w/ 3 tkls, a sack and an int. Final score Penguins 35, Ragin Cajuns 21.
Game 10 - Yr. 1 - Record 4-4
So w/ the season beginning to wind down we need 2 more wins to become bowl eligible. And the first team on our list was Idaho. The vandals came in w/ a 6-3 record and we were in thei house. For some reason i had like 3 home games this year, that will change next year. We really didn't know what to expect as we had to suspend 3 more players before the game, and in doing so used up the last of our discipline points.
Their defense put up a heck pf a fight in the beginning but in the end we just wore them down, although they were able to make a run at a comeback because of our inablility to stop the big play. That's also due to a wideout playing corner because of suspensions. But a wins a win. and w/ that it is 11:30 pm and i am tired, so here's the stats.
Passing-
QB #14 - 4-16 64 yds
Rushing-
Hb #32- 20 car. 201 yds & 2 tds
Qb #14- 6 car 66 yds
Fb #34- 1 car 12 yds & 1 td
Recieving-
Fb #34- 2 rec for 3 yds
Te #46- 1 rec for 27 yds
Wr #82- 1 rec for 34 yds
Defense-
Wr #17- 3 tkls
Mlb #45- 2 sacks
Kicking-
K #16- 3-3 w/ a long of 34 yds.
final score Penguins 30 - Vandals 21, New record 5-4 and one game closer to a bowl.
