My goodness how can you get upset by marquette I can't believe that happened to a #2 ranked team I could believe a team not in the top 10 gettin beat by them. I think this year is the year for upsets I mean Texas losin to Tennessee and Memphis losin to Texas, UK losin to UNC, Iowa goin down to ISU. I mean a huge number of ranked teams goin down to non-ranked teams and I think we'll see more of that.
Its happen alot now though if you look at Espn theres alot of them.

College basketball generally has several upsets during the regular season and then again a few (sometimes a lot) in the Ncaa Tournament.
This trend will definately continue as you see so many underclassmen leaving for the NBA. Teams don't have a chance to build chemistry. Other teams aren't like Duke who gets 5 McDonald's All-Americans every single year it seems.
I just don't get into the college regular season much and I believe this is one reason why a lot of people don't watch college basketball until the Ncaa Tournament. Games during the regular season just don't matter as much especially compared to college football where one touchdown pass as time expires can cost you an undefeated season (penn state). The drama just isn't there.
I just think that there's a lot more parity in the NCAA than in previous years. Duke is the number one, and they're not too far ahead of the other teams IMO, and there's no real #2. I don't get how you can say that Texas beating Memphis is a huge upset. Texas is a top 10 team, Memphis is a top 10 team. And then Kentucky losing to UNC... Kentucky's really not that good without Randolph Morris. And then Iowa losing to Iowa State, ISU was actually ranked Top 25 preseason. Again, this just shows all the parity in the NCAA.

Well, when the year starts, the top 25 polls have 25 teams without losses. When the year ends, most if not all of the teams have losses... When your ranked and you lose, you fall (99.9% of the time)... So yes Dolphins, teams that are ranked high lose...
If that was the case then why would they even play the games. They would just build teams and have the media vote on whos the best and not even play the games.
Look at USC, all the media had them ranked #1 and said they were going to beat Texas easy. They had USC so hyped that they claimed you could put together an "All Time College All Star Team" and USC would beat them.

Let's hope UK can make it far in the tourney I'm will stick with my wildcats any day. They usually don't show how good they are till March don't you worry.
Of course they will look better in March because Randolph Morris is coming back after the Kansas game...

LOL Swoosh, NC State looked horrible in that game. I have no idea who #3 is for NC State, but he obviously wanted to lose because he threw 3 passes right to UNC in the last minute and a half.

who knows how the kentucky wildcats will play in the NCAA tourny (i mean we got beat by UAB before so really who knows), but on a more positive note i mean every year we go in with a decent seed, im not sure how good of a rank we have this yr... but still it doesnt matter, i still think we will prove to people we still have game, were just having a very rough season, well bounce back in no time, atleast once the big time tourny comes around...
