I'm suprised no one brought this up for discussion:
Quick overview if you don't know.
Boozer was selected in the second round by the Cavs. He had an option for this year at like 700k which the team could pick up but he begged them not to so they can resign him. He made a verbal agreement about wanting to stay in Cleveland. They didn't pick up his option making him a restricted free agent so they can sign them to the middle level exception (the most they could offer him), then Utah offers him like 27 mil more over the course of the contract (like 6 years) and he signs an offer sheet with them, completely burning the Cavs. Utah frontloads the contract and give a big bonus so Cleveland has no chance of matching the offer (since they are only 2.5mil under the cap) and now his agent resigns

yeah i heard about that and he kinda screwed the cavs but i heard the cavs are tryin to trade Zydrunas Ilgaulskus (or however you spell it) to get rid of hi his contract so tehy can offer boozer more money but i dont think he will be in a cavs uniform next year....
I was gonna bring this up but I've been too tired and stuff, but yeah Boozer screwed the Cavs over. That really sucks, but hey, he did what anyone else would've done. I give him a pat on the back, the man went out there and got paid, and I'm pretty sure that's what he wanted to do.

no thats not the proper stance to take IS. The man made a verbal agreement. To some people thats alot. Your word is supposed to be your bond. If it isn't then you really aren't a man. Your a snake. If the Cavs do trade someone in hope of keeping Boozer it will be only for one thing.... A Sign and Trade I hope. I wouldn't keep him. Even his agent left him.

Good for boozer.. teams screw players by trading them all the time... finally a player gets revenge.. (Ok it goes both ways.. but who cares its all business.. and bad or good we are talking 60 some million here... I'de screw them too..)
How many times you think teams say "hey resign with us we need you and you can stay here for your contract.. then they turn around and play them?? And nobody has heard boozer's side yet either.. we are only going off what the cavs have said...
And I need to say this.. I can tell someone I'm going to do something.. but unless its a friend or someone I respect... I don't have to stick to it.. especially if its someone (a business) that would stab me in the back if they got a chance too

First off, an opinion cannot be wrong....its an OPINION
Ok, good. In my opinion, you're an idiot. Good thing I can't be wrong!

i think they were both foolish...you shouldnt break your word and you shouldnt rely on someones word in a proffesional sport, i mean come on...nothing is agreed in a sports world unless its on paper. it would be different if i gave my friend my word that i would go and play football with him, and then didnt and went with some other guy. but in the sports world things are different...i dont necessarily agree but hey thats the way it is.

I think Boozer and his agent screwed the Cavs big time. And as far as him getting revenge and good for him, I don't think two wrongs make a right (although two lefts do...). Anyway, Boozer made it harder for his fellow players. What team is going to give a break to a player like the Cavs did now? Especially a player with the same agent? No, the Cavs let him out of a weak contact, but one Boozer AGREED TO, because they thought he deserved it. The Cavs could have said 'No', made him play this year for 700k and called it a day. But they didn't. They verbally agreed to tear up the contrcat IF he would resign with them. He said he would. Then he didn't.
I do agree that we haven't heard Boozers side, but the delay in any word from his camp makes me suspicious. I think he knows he screwed them and doesn't want to to anymore harm. He's just laying low.
Now, saying that... it was TWENTY MILLION DOLLARS! Hell, I'd screw over my mother for that kinda money.
And something else to think about... Boozer kinda screwed himself. He left agruably the best player in basketball for the next 10 years (LeBron btw) to sign with a mediocre team in the West. That extra 20mil ain't gonna buy him a ring. The Cavs were poised to strike in the next 2-3 years and be dominant. On that level, I think he'll regret his decision.
Well so much for waiting for Boozer's side of the story... His side was that he did sign with Utah this morning.
Boozer's an idiot. He could of signed a 5mil deal for one year (which the offered before he signed the Utah offer sheet) and then resigned with the cavs for alot more than the Jazz or the Cavs could of given him this year.
