Umm, the officials are not from Detroit, they are used throughout the NBA. That statement doesn't makes sense.

Give credit to Detroit. They are the only team thus far that has guarded Shaq one on one, and that is why they are winning. Kareem Rush, Derek Fisher, and Devean George have been non-factors because they are not being left open for threes. Larry Brown has figured out how to beat the Lakers.

Oh, and maybe if Phil Jackson would stop complaining to the refs the day before the game and throughout the entire game he might get some coaching done. Every time I see him, he is either sitting on the bench scratching his head or up in the refs ear whining. I know what he's thinking when he's sitting there scratching his head too..."Damn...I wish Michael was here." Larry Brown and the Pistons defense has exploited Jacksons overrated coaching abilities...Shaq is having to do everything on his own. Don't even blame this on the refs after all the good fortune the Lakers have had in previous years with getting the calls.

I think there alot of reasons why the Lakers are not winning.

One, free throw shooting

Game 2 Pistons 21-31
Lakers 17-25

Game 3 Pistons 21-30
Lakers 8-13

Thats, and the fact that Detriot is playing that pressing defense, starting when the Lakers inbound the ball. That takes them out of their flow. then when the cross midcourt, they have already used atleast 8 to 10 seconds off the shot clock. Plus, Kobe Bryant has not shot the ball well when In Detriot. Shaq needs help. And now with Karl Malone hurting, and his playing time decreasing, who guards Rasheed Wallace (Tar Heel). The Lakers will come out with fire in their belly for game 5, the question is weather that will be enough?

It's pointless to try to argue that the refs are against the Lakers because it can't be proven.. It's like the Cowboys, and the Raiders, they are two teams that the refs are ALWAYS against... Now the Lakers are not like that, the refs aren't always against them, it just seems that for some reason during these finals they are...

I mean come on are you serious the lakers are fouling twice as much as the Pistons?? why is that? Is it because of the super offensive firepower the pistons have, the lakers have to foul? Is it that big man in the middle the Pistons have that the lakers have to hack to keep him from scoring?

But like I said there are no excuses anyway, the Pistons have been the better team this whole series for whatever the reason, and they should have already won it 4-0 if not for super Kobe. And after that shot the Pistons decided to put 3 on Kobe, and since noone else but shaq can play and Malone is hurt, they guard passing laane to Shaq, and thats the key.

Funny how the Lakers had fat lips and blood coming out thier mouths yet they were the ones fouling... And for some reason those white guys, medvedenko, and walton they just must have a problem with Rasheed Wallace and keep picking on him... poor Rasheed...

But I like being a fan of the UNDERDOG So GO LAKERS.... do something to bet the refs, oops sorry I mean Pistons

I am assuming you are a life-long Lakers fan, with your use of "we" and "us". I hope you are not a bandwagoner like the majority of Laker fans are.

I think Phil Jackson is the main reason they are losing this series. The Lakers easily have the most talented team in the league, yet he has little control over them and has not made adjustments in this series. The guy is not even starting the PG that gives his team the best chance to win. He won't even listen to the guys that have been on all 3 championship teams...although starting Rick Fox is a joke at this point in his career. Derek Fisher should be starting though.

The reason Detroit is getting more free throws is because they are taking it to he basket more aggressively. What do the Lakers do to earn free throws? Shaq is the only one that gets it near the basket, and he misses them. Kobe is taking fadeaway jumpers and three-pointers over a guy taller than him. I believe Devean George took it to the basket once last game, and ended up missing his free throws. Detroit is out-playing, out-hustling, and out-coaching LA. That's why they are winning.

Like I said it's pointless to argue that the refs are being unfair but I'm watching the games and the Pistons are doing the same things the lakers are and not getting fouls called.. here is an example.. they call a T on Phil for wlaking over the line onto the court during a play.. then you watch the whole game and Brown is on the court the whole time?? Whats up with that? Its called anti-Laker refs...

Good. Get the anti-Laker refs out here. It's about time the Lakers haven't been favored by the refs. Don't act like they don't either... I mean Kobe can walk all over the damn court, they just always get calls made for them. The Lakers are always favored by the refs, so it's about friggin time they got a taste of the rest of the league.

I think I know why I like the Lakers so much, it's because they are like the cowboys in the fact that you either like them or you hate them, you can't be indeferent towards them....

If the refs in the league called the same fouls against players guarding Shaq that they call for other centers then Shaq would score 60+ pts a game and everyone would foul out.. the refs let players get away with hanging on Shaqs back while he shoots without calling it.. they wait to see if he makes the shot and if he does the don't call the fould even if he had to drag someone up to the rim with him..

Thats fine cause without the refs calling the game that way (allowing players to be physical with shaq and drag him and hang on him) he would DOMINATE 500% more than what he does.. sad thing is since shaq is so big he has to be extra careful not to even breathe on someone when they are shooting, many a time shaq has blocked a shot, all ball, and because of the power the player goes crashing back and the stupid refs blow the whistle.. must be a foul cause that guy went down...

Well Hopefuly Cashpath, we will get a good game 5, where the calls are balanced and both teams score in the 90's. Yeah Right...... But I hope its a fair game with balanced calls for both sides.
