I don't have a lot of time at the moment but I thought I'd comment on a couple of the points you wanted to get rid of.

Yes this is true for the most part...but some of the unlocked teams and stadiums can be fun for people to use. As well as some of the cheat cards...I don't mean against the CPU, but playing another person for fun you could play a couple cards and have a three-down, fumble filled game if you so choose (I can't remember off the top of my head what kind of cards are available). They can get rid of the Madden Cards if they want, but perhaps leave those special historic teams available and permanently unlocked like I believe they were in past years. And perhaps a couple "easter eggs" to allow the user to change certain rules of the game (like they have in the NHL games where you can set if a guy gets hit he stays down till someone scores).

Alot of people like to use this feature...it adds replay value and gives people a chance to play with that "make believe team" the made up...especially those who do not have the luxury of having a pro team in their city. Or like I did once (and have seen done) previously create teams from movies (The Replacements
) or their high school team (I've seen that done on several occcasions. It allows them to get creative and have even more fun with the game.
