Yep...no denying it, Madden has really fallen off in the "presentation" department in the last couple of years. Contrary to what EA seems to believe, the little things DO matter. Things like what you said...those nifty starting lineup things they do in real games, Madden and Michaels, etc...
Speaking of the announcers, even if they don't get Madden/Michaels for monday night, they should have the announcer mention the fact that its monday night football several times throughout the game.
Which gives me another idea...how about a "clutch" or "big game" factor in Madden? Like an attribute increase for players that have a tendency to step it up a notch in big games (Tom Brady)...and a decrease for those who don't (Peyton Manning). Peyton may have a higher OVR rating than Brady in normal games, but who would you rather have leading your team in the Super Bowl?
