The difference between the types of DE is already in the game without adding Pass Rush and Run Stop attributes.

The combination of Speed, Agility, Accel, and Strength is what makes these different types. Good Speed, Agil, and Acl, will give you a good pass rusher and more strength with slower speed, acl, agil will give you a run stopper.

This also would aply to the DL, LB and CB. All the attributes you need to make the different types of players are there. The difference between a LB that can shed blocks and one that cant is size and strength.

A run support corner is usually slower, bigger, stronger and tackles better.

Good Zone CB = Awr, spd, agl, acl.
Good Press coverage. = Size, Str
Good Man = Spd, Agil, Acel, Jump.

Everything you want is in the game already. What you are asking for is basically a simplification of what is already there. Instead of looking at a guy and, based off his attributes, determining what type of player he is, you want an attribute that will do this for you?

Your explaination for the Instincts attribute is already exactly what Awareness is. Try this. Play a game against the computer and turn down the CPU awr slider to zero and run Play Actions and Draws and trick plays. Watch the defenders bite on everything.

As for the Head tracking thing. The game already works that way pretty much.

WR route running is based of awareness. The more Aware the better they run thier routes.

Upper body and lower body strength is a good idea along with the leadership. Those would be good things to put in.

What needs to be done to Attributes is there needs to be a more detailed scale to them. Intead of 1 point increments there needs to be .1 increments. For example, C Baily may have a 99.2 speed and Moss may have a 99.4 speed.

Also no one in the game should be slower than about 70 speed, not even linemen. They are not as slow as the game has them.

Ever notice that Kickers and Punters are always slow in the game? They shouldnt be that slow. But EA has them slow so that they dont make it to a play and get tackles or something. Instead of writing code into the game to make kickers and punters not try to get to the play as hard they simply made them slow so they cant get there.

Some where you made mention about DL commanding double teams. Well in Madden there is no such thing. Two lineman cannot block one DL in Madden just like 2 or 3 guys cannot tackle one guy. I know there are some animations where 2 guys will takcle a guy but its not actually 2 guys making a tackle. Its just an animation.

Do some replays and watch your line and you will see that there are never 2 guys actually blocking one guy. There may look to be 2 guys on one guy, but what is happening here is one OL is Blocking someone and the other guy is just stuck on the other 2 guys and kind of in the way, he is not actually helping block.

This I would agree is something that needs fixed. 2 or 3 guys should all be able to engage one guy in a block if thats what you want.

Just like 3 guys should be able to tackle a guy. Right now if the RB gets hit by a LB and is breaking the tackle and the Safety comes up and hits the RB at the same time then the RB will continue to break the tackle because Madden doesnt take into account the hit from the Safety. Madden is only concerned with one on one. Even if you were to have another LB and a DT along with the Safety hit the RB while he is breaking the original LBs tackle he will not go down until he is hit again after the break tackle animation is over.

The current Madden code wont allow the Break Tackle animation to be interrupted no matter how many guys are hitting him.

6. Speaking of weight make it play more of a factor in the overall ratings and the performance of a player in game.
Actually you can change a players weight in real life. Look into it, Just about every player gains weight in thier first 2 or 3 years in the NFL. Bigger Linemen sometimes loose weight. Case in point - Marcus Spears for the Dallas Cowboys was told to loose weight by the time he reported to camp. He did so. Julius Jones for the Dallas Cowboys has gained weight over what he was last year as a rookie.

This is already in the game. It was put in last year or the year before.
