you dont like off season?! are you crazy. thats like the best bit...i mean er....welcome to the board

but anyways it sounds to me like what you want is arcade style. where you can do logical things. the fact is madden is a simulation of real life. perhaps hey should have arcade options fro upsnalyits not what after. because in reality. you want a well balanced team hence the breakdown. in reality people retire. in reality there is an offseason. if oyu dont want reality i suggest a game like i dont know...nfl street maybe...but thats not what im after....
