Yeah, Peyton Manning and Steve McNair split the MVP this year. But that is completely wrong for the following reasons:
- Manning beat McNair TWICE this season.
- Manning didn't miss one snap this year, while McNair missed several and even missed two games.
- MVP is for the Most Valuable Player. The Titans won both games McNair was out, but if Peyton Manning had been out then the Colts probably wouldn't have won several games...
Peyton Manning deserved the MVP, and if he was going to split it with anyone it should have been Priest Holmes. Priest Holmes is the center of the Chiefs offense and the Chiefs got off to such a great start but they're defense is just terrible, which means that the whole team was carried by the offense, which was carried by Priest Holmes. That's what an MVP is, not a guy that sits out two games when his team still wins...
