At first I thought this was great news, but I'm not sure. Competition is usually a good thing. We'll just have to see what direction EA and Madden takes. They have never let me down before, so hopefully that won't change.

What I'm hoping is that they'll want to get all those 2k5 fans converted to Madden fans by greatly improving Madden, including some of the aspects that those gamers loved about the Sega/ESPN series. I hope they do this rather than be glad they eliminated the competition and sit and be happy that they are going to increase their profit somewhat rather than get all those Sega fans buying the game. Hopefully that all makes sense.

Like I said though, Madden has never let me down...I hope that doesn't change.
