I fully blame it on the pressure from the student body, a mass of students who come and go in four years. Many of them were set to protest his position of head coach. Notre Dame is a majestic school with a rich tradition. All most people remember is the accolades of the past and not all the hard work put forth to get there. They expect things to be grand and prestine almost immediately. I feel bad for Coach Ty because I feel that he was a good coach and he was good as a representative of the Irish.

There are rumors about possible other coaches up for the job, including Urban Meyer of Utah. I wouldn't mind seeing old Lou Holtz come back, but I know he is getting old.

Notre Dame is losing their splendor and that definately makes me sad. I hope that they return to greatness again real soon for the sake of their supporters.
