Deangelo Williams- No Heisman Chance?

Forget Adrian Peterson, Forget Cedric Benson. There is only one NCAA running back that deserves the Doak Walker Award or even the Heisman. his name is Deangelo Williams, from the University of Memphis. Let's look at these three backs.
Name Team G Rush Yds Y/G Avg TD

DeAngelo Williams Memp 11 295 1828 166.2 6.2 21
Cedric Benson Tex 11 303 1764 160.4 5.8 19
Adrian Peterson Okla 11 286 1671 151.9 5.8 12

Adrian Peterson only scored 12 Touchdowns... but he's the frontrunner for the Heisman? Deangelo leads in all major categories here. However, he was excluded from not only the Heisman but the Doak Walker award as well. The final DWA spot was given to JJ Arrington.

J.J. Arrington Cal 10 233 1584 158.4 6.8 14

Finally, someone with a better stats than DeAngelo. he has a .6 yard per carry advantage. But does that make him the better running back? DeAngelo may go pro this year, and in my opinion, there is no doubt he is a top ten pick, much like LaDanian Tomlinson a few years ago without the glitz. I have personally watched DeAngelo break records this year, and there is no doubt in my mind that he is the best running back in the nation.
