I have seen players go up in speed through normal progression (Pre-Season and end of year) Usually only one point but last year I had a MLB go up 2

Most Players gain those every year unless they get hurt and all of the young players gain it after training camp.. so that works out well and makes sense.
What would be neat is if you could go through the players and tell them to work on certain things durin training camp, possibly telling them to drop weight or add weight. Work on stamina, or speed.. etc etc and then the player would advance acording to what you have told them to work on more.
