Q) Coach, this was a big win for your team, to be 2-1 now instead of 1-2 is big, and the Steelers look to be a very good team this year, what do you think made the difference in this game?

A) Don't put to much into the difference between 2-1 and 1-2 at this point there are 16 games in this NFL season. It's been that way for a while, if you get to excited about a 2-1 record then that could turn into 2-14. Having said that, this was a big win because it was against a division opponent. It ties us for first place in our division. As with any game the key to this game was turnovers. You can't turn the ball over and win unless you are that freak rams team in '99.

Q) Speaking of the rams, we have been told there has been a trade involving the Rams? Could you give us some details on that coach?

A) Sure, we traded our FB Henderson and Backup RB Barlow to the Rams for Thier FB Alstott and backup RB Canidate. The Rams are 0-3 right now. They need some sort of infusion and I think Barlow could give them this, did you see what he did against the Steelers? And for us, adding a player like Alstott will be a great lift, it will allow us to insert him him power situations to take pressure off of Marshal.

Q) Marshal didn't look to good in the first two games, in this last game he seemed to turn it on, what was the difference there?

A) I sat down and had a talk with Marshal. I'm not going to get into the details of the discussion, but I let him know that he is our back, and that I needed him to step up and leed this team. I believe in a strong running game, and Marshal is the key to that.

Q) Hi coach, Jim kacker from the ea times: With Marshal only having one good outing and Barlow performing so well when he got more carries in a game, couldn't trading him come back to bite you in the end?

A) Look, Jim.... Cracker is it? I just said Marshal is our running back, Barlow raised his stock with this game, and the media reads way to much into something like this and starts up a controversy. Thats the last thing I will have on my team. So Barlow isn't here anymore... so don't ask about him anymore. Sure he ran good, but so did Marshal. One more question...

Q) Is there any plan to open up the passing game more coach?

A) Drew is a hell of a QB. He has a strong arm and can put the ball in there. He makes good decisions, and does what we ask him to. But in order for us to open up the passing game our recievers are going to need to stpe up. They will need to show me that they won't drop passes. Those can kill a drive, we have been working on that with these receivers a lot, but hey are young, and it will take time for them to mature and learn the system..
