what do u guys think

Pack maybe but check this little debate out see who guys guys agree wit or what you would do.

What the Patriots should do if Brady isn't signed to a long terrm deal is keep Davey until they rework a long term contract with Brady. If Brady is asking price is way too much, then they should trade him to a team that needs a QB and get draft picks out of it and rework a contract with Davey and give him the starting job if he's really as good as people think.

haha...right...

i hope you were kidding when you said that. no matter what his asking price is we will pay it. you dont just let a guy go who very early in his career has two superbowl victories and two MVP awards...and they happen to be the only two superbowl victories in the history of the pats...

so no they shouldnt keep davey if they can get something big for him

So then you would pay him if he were to ask for a Peyton Manning type contract? I'm pretty sure he would ask for a contract in that range. (2 Super Bowl appearances in 3 years, 2 SB MVP's) If you look at what the Pats have done in the past then you know they're not scared to let someone go once they know they're expandable (Bledsoe by Brady, Milloy by Harrison) Does it ring a bell? They might of done the same thing to Ty Law if they would of acquired some one in the off season to replace him. You should know this, you're a Pats fan arent you? Plus if his contract was that big then who would you cut to make room for a signing like that?

yup i think they would pay him a contract just like mannings...why not he led the team to 2 superbowl victories.

the difference between letting bledsoe go because brady came along was brady kicked *** and bledsoe didnt do anything except blow big games for us. if you look at milloy he had a big contract and produced nothing the year before. now if we let go of ty law its not goign to be that big of a loss as would be lettign go of brady.

who would they cut? i do not know. i do know he is here until 2006 and they will take care of that when it comes...but its like denver not resiging elway or miami not resigning marino. its not goign to happen until his career is over.

We'll see about that in '06. In your other post regarding the Pats you said that the system makes players better than what they really are. Does that apply to Brady also or is it an exception. Plus you can't compare Brady with Elway or Marino yet. Maybe if he gets a few more solid years, then you probably could but as of now you can't.

Who do you agree with? The Bold or Italics? What would u guys do?
