Hello folks, just got Madden 09 and its the first madden I've played. I am familiar with most football terminology so I understand most of the sets and plays, but I have some questions about a few plays/definitions/methods of execution. Is there a thread which defines what some of the plays mean? For instance: "Double X, etc." Also, I know that certain buttons aren't clearly defined in the manual, but are there other controls that you may know about which may help when competing head to head? Finally, when playing against some friends (Vikings fans) my run defense and passing skills stink (I use the Redskins no matter what)--what are some good guidelines/plays to use? Apparently Madden thinks Adrian Peterson is the next Walter Payton. Thanks for the help.
