To be honest, no matter how hard they try EA will never be able to get the player ratings right to the point that no-one complains. Everyone has their own opinion on players...underrated, overrated, etc. But as Pyro mentioned, the "edit player" option helps people solve those problems for their game (though online play won't be affected)
